The papaya, it makes us totally happy! In many countries this fruit is indispensable; in The Netherlands the papaya is finally getting its well deserved credits. Why? Well the people simply know how to use this exotic fruit better and on a more frequent basis. Needless to say, they realize how delicious AND healthy the papaya is! It totally fits the "be fit" lifestyle of today.   


  • Papayas are good for our digestion, as they contain the protein splitting enzyme - papain. This enzyme helps with the digestion of proteins. 
  • Papayas are enriched with antioxidants such as vitamin C and vitamin B5, as well as minerals such as copper, magnesium and fibers. 

Fun fact: due to the large amount of good qualities the papaya has, the indigenous culture in Latin-America call the papaya: "the fruit for a long life"

Papaya Smoothie

  • 1 peeled and sliced papaya
  • 1 peeled and slice banana
  • 75 g fresh, sliced strawberries
  • 80 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 10-15 ice cubes
